cultural genocide

in reflecting on this "holiday" of mourning and relecting on the fact that this country stands on stolen land worked by stolen lives, i turn back to the strength of my ancestors. and tho much of mi historia y mi cultura has been murdered, robbed, misinterperted, and vanished - i still have the fire in my soul to know more, to remember more of our ancient ways. and so i leave these words by honoring one of my mothers who gave birth to mi energia - Coyolxauhqui, AZTECA moon godess.
